Crime Prevention > Children's Fund

What is the Children’s Fund?
The Children’s Fund is a new Government initiative to combat poverty and social exclusion.  It will address the shortage of preventative services for children aged between 5 and 13, and will support parents and local groups in their efforts to find local solutions to the problems of child poverty.

Along with Sure Start and the new Connexions service for the over 13’s, it aims to increase educational attainment and participation, promote health, and break cycles of poverty and lack of opportunity for the most excluded groups.

Crime Prevention > Children's Fund > New Focus

There is a new focus on Crime Prevention by the Children's Fund to target children aged 8-13 years old who are most at risk of social disaffection and offending.
