Bradford YOT believes Sport is a useful intervention to help engage young people and give them a sense of achievement.
Bradford YOT Team are Champions
Bradford YOT entered a team in the West Yorkshire Criminal Justice Board Five-a-side competition held in November 2008 in Leeds. We're delighted to say that we were successful in winning the main Adult’s Trophy! - see a PDF with photos and more information here.

Sports Summer College 2008
The Project ran 4 days-a-week for 5 weeks. 31 young offenders took part in the project participating in sports such as:

Gym
-
Football
-
Tennis
-
Climbing/Water Sports
-
Golf
-
Basketball
Of the group 2 young people were identified as having potential in golf and 1 young person was identified as being very promising in Tennis. The young people also had health sessions which they reported as being very helpful.

80% attendance at sessions

206 contacts out of a possible 257

16 young people achieved Junior Football Organiser F.A. Certificate

3 young people achieved Sailing (Topper) Level 1 award

1 young person achieved Kayaking Level 1
